(I apologize for the sound quality in this episode! 🙂 )
With Christmas time upon us, I thought it would be a great time to talk about the power of beliefs.
Truth be told, anytime is a great time to talk about the power of beliefs, because, well, they create our reality.
We all know that our beliefs are the cause of the experiences we have in business and in life.
However, it’s easy to neglect doing the internal work of improving them, and instead work on changing things in the physical world.
While there are obviously things in the physical world we can and should improve to get more of what we want in life, that’s not the place we should begin.
We should begin within, with our beliefs.
To help you do that, in this episode I share three of my favorite insights into what our beliefs are and how they affect our experience in life.
My hope is that these ideas will make it easier for you to improve any beliefs you hold that are blocking more happiness, well-being, and fun from flowing into your life.
If you’d like to watch this episode, you can do that here.
1 – You’re beliefs are doing the work, not you.
Thoughts are things. Before you actually have an experience, you’re beliefs have created it, packaged it, and shipped it to you. So, while you may think that you (and your effort) are doing the work, in actuality the creative power within you (i.e. The God Force, Source, etc.) is doing it. It’s animating you. It’s moving your muscles. It’s illuminating the motion picture and script you have playing in your head. You’re just the decider. You just choose what you want to be, do, and have by holding the belief (idea) in your consciousness.
2 – A belief is just a thought.
This one comes to use from Abraham-Hicks, who reminds us that “A belief is just a thought you keep thinking.” Knowing this makes is much easier to change our beliefs. It’s as easy as choosing a different thought, one that supports the circumstances you want to have, and then thinking it over and over again until it becomes a part of your larger belief structure.
3 – Successful people aren’t better than you, they just have better beliefs.
All human beings begin on a level playing field. We all come from the same place, and we’ll return to the same place. While we’re here, however, we’re all having different experiences. The reason? Beliefs. The people who are having fun, enjoyable, and fulfilling experiences in life, have adopted beliefs that are in alignment and supportive of those experiences.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
- The far-reaching effects of your beliefs.
- How to prepave your experiences by changing your beliefs.
- 3 insights about your beliefs that will make changing them much easier, so that you can be, do, and have more of what you want in life.
- Why reverse engineering your desires is the best way to realize them.

If you tell yourself over and over again that there’s no limit to the creative power within you, that’s about all there is to it.” ~ Angela Lansbury, from The Magic of Believing, by Claude M. Bristol
