Do you sometimes lose your inspiration?
I do.
And, you know what, from listening to successful people share their stories, they do too.
Just like renewing our mind and body every day, renewing our inspiration is so important to realizing our goals and dreams in life!
Because renewing our inspiration is so important, I thought I’d share three of my favorite ways to do it in the hopes that you might find one or more of these ways helpful on your own journey.
Here they are:
- Think about the journey’s of other successful people. Print or save digital pictures of successful people who’s stories resonate with you. Maybe they’re in your field, and maybe they’re not. I find a lot of inspiration in people that are on vastly different paths than I am in life. I like to print 4×6 pictures at my local Kinkos/FedEx and keep them in a stack on my desk or put them on my wall. Whenever I need a boost of inspiration, I go through the stack and pick a few and lay them out on my desk.
- Think about the grand vision you have for your business and/or your life. Think about why you’re doing what you’re doing. It helps to go beyond just thinking about it or visualizing it and really feel that you are being, doing, and having what you desire right now. Make it feel real by smelling it, hearing it, seeing it, etc. The more real you can make the experience, the deeper you’ll impress your creative mechanism (your imagination and subconscious mind) and the faster you’ll find yourself living your vision. Whatever we impress consistently, will be eventually be expressed.
- Think about your past accomplishments. Spend some time thinking about and re-living your past accomplishments. If it helps, get out a pen and paper and make a list of all the challenges you’ve already overcome in your life. Include on your list any goals you’ve ever set for yourself and then achieved. This is a really powerful exercise, and one I feel is often overlooked.
I hope these ideas help you the next time you need a little inspiration!
