The other day I had the opportunity to sit down with my good friend AlejAndro Anastasio to discuss his recent TEDx talk.
AlejAndro is an international professional speaker, artist, martial artist, and authorized Buddhist teacher.
His talk was titled Single Present Moment. And if you weren’t able to attend the talk live, it will be available soon on the TEDx Twin Falls website, and on Youtube.
When it’s available, I’ll include the video in this post. So check back.
The idea of the single present moment has powerful implications for all of us.
Developing an understanding of what is the single present moment can really help us enhance the human experience.
This is an audio interview we recorded at a local coffee shop. I’m still working on getting the sound levels just right and reducing the background noise.
Here are some notable quotes from AlejAndro in this interview:
- “And [it’s] really about looking at what it is when we say, “Hold on a moment. Give me a moment. Be in the moment. And be here now.”
- “We reflect a lot into the past and project a lot into the future.”
- “The single present moment is all that actually exists.”
- “The actual single present moment is the smallest amount of time possible. But it’s the only moment you can actually choose. So it’s the only moment you actually have all of your power.”
And if you didn’t see his 2015 TEDx Boise talk, here it is.
AlejAndro has spoken in seven different countries. He was a semi-finalist in the 2015 Toastmasters World Championship of Public Speaking, and he has delivered two TEDx talks. Additionally, he has traveled across the united states engaging and empowering youth at the middle-school, high-school, and college levels.
