There seems to be two schools of thought in business.
- Find out what you love to do, do it better than anyone else, and the money will come.
- Identify a need, fill it better than anyone else, and the money will come.
In my own experience, I’ve seen both scenarios pay off BIG for people.
What I’m going to talk about in this video however, is the former scenario.
It’s much more exciting because you get to do what’s in your heart…what’s in your soul.
It’s about taking what you love to do, which is usually something you’ve put a lot of time and effort in to develop, and package it in a way that others can get value out of it too.
I believe everyone comes into this world encoded with a mission or purpose, and is uniquely suited to do something to move the human race forward.
This theory extends to all living things, from plants, to trees, to bugs and animals.
We all benefit from a beetle being a beetle and doing beetle things, just like we all benefit from a lion being a lion and doing lion things.
Every living thing in nature is designed with certain qualities, characteristics, and attributes that make it well suited to survive and thrive and benefit all other living creatures simply by being what it’s supposed to be and doing what it’s supposed to do.
A tall blade of grass is designed to bend and flow with the wind, whereas a tall oak tree is designed to stand and take the force of the wind and transfer it down through it’s strong trunk.
Both the grass and the oak tree have their own unique way of being and thriving in the world.
So, the ultimate question for creating prosperity for yourself and others is this:
What is your unique way of being and doing things in the world?
Since starting my own labor of love in 2013, I’ve realized (as many before me have) that whatever you decide to be and do in life, the biggest factor in succeeding is how well you can package and sell yourself and your value to others.
With this in mind, I wanted to share some insights on what I’ve learned (and continue to learn) about doing what you love and doing it in a way that other people can get a lot of value out of it too.
Before you go, I’d like to share some words of wisdom with you.
This is one of my all time favorite quotes about living a life filled with passion, purpose, and meaning, and also ensuring your experience here is as full and rich as it can possibly be.
Here it is:
Don’t ask what the world needs. Ask what makes you come alive, and go do it. Because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” ~ Howard Thurman
Until next time,
