I recently had an opportunity to sit down with my good friend Sabrina Vaillancourt, and talk about her experience training for, and competing in, her first bikini competition.
Sabrina is one of the most disciplined people I know. Already a hard-core gym rat, and clean-eater, she recently stepped up her game for this competition.
I wanted to find out what goes on physically and mentally during an event like this.
As Sabrina talks about in the interview, entering this competition not only challenged her physically, but also mentally.
She talks about stepping out of her comfort zone, and summoning the confidence to put on a bikini, and show off her hard work in front of the judges and spectators at the end of her journey.
I was so impressed by her story, and I can truly see a difference in her confidence level.
Early on, Sabrina shared something on her blog that I thought was really great.
It’s an idea that we can all adopt in order to achieve the goals and dreams we set for ourselves.
“Fake it ’til you become it.”
Here she is, in full-on sexy-beast mode, at the competition (third from the left). Impressive!
Thanks for inspiring us Sabrina!
It was so awesome to follow you on your journey.
I look forward to your next grand adventure.
I know it’ll be something amazing.
If you’d like more behind the scenes info, she chronicled her experience on her blog, kickitsugar.blogspot.com.
Check it out. It’s loaded with awesome insights into bodybuilding and nutrition, as well as a ton of pictures from her experience.
Enjoy the interview!
