Warren Buffett said, “The more you learn, the more you earn.”
While Mr. Buffett is obviously talking about money here, we could easily look at it from a broader perspective and say that the more we learn about any area of our lives, the richer our experiences will be in that area.
Whether it’s health, wealth, or success in general, learning is obviously the vehicle that will help us enhance our experiences in that area.
If this is the case, we’ve got to ask ourselves, what’s the best teacher?
Because, having the best teacher will help us arrive at the best experiences much faster.
I mentioned on my Instagram the other day that there will be heavy doses of irony in this week’s podcast, and there certainly is.
Why?
Because, it turns out that the best way to enhance our experiences in life, isn’t by listening to a podcast on enhancing experiences (insert frowny face here), it’s by actually taking action and doing the things we want to get better at.
As painful as it is for me to say…
The best teacher is experience.
Now, before you tune out and get into action-taking mode, hear me out.
While nothing teaches like experience, it’s important to learn from one another and share the tools, techniques, and practices that will help us on our journey.
That is, after all, why I launched the podcast in the first place; to share best practices for living.
To come together and share our experiences about what works and what doesn’t so we can save each other time, energy, and money.
And, more importantly, pave the way for future generations to go further, faster, when it comes to understanding and working with consciousness.
Because, the history of humanity is nothing more than one big awakening, or deepening of understanding about the best ways to be healthier, wealthier, and more successful.
Because of this new understanding about the value of experience, a while back I came to the conclusion that so many others have before me, that to improve our lives it was imperative to just stay in constant action-taking mode and simply live in a perpetual state of doing.
Not thinking about doing, or preparing to do, but actually doing.
Some call this a flow state.
It turns out that the most successful people are also the ones who have had the most experiences to reflect on.
They have failed the most, and that’s why they’ve succeeded.
