A World of Creativity is a special interview series within Enhancing the Human Experience co-hosted by myself and Mark Stinson. In this series, we talk with successful people from around the globe to find out how they get inspired, where their ideas come from, and how they apply creativity in their business and personal lives. Scroll to the end of this post to listen to prior episodes in this series.
Our guests this week are Bob Baurys and Cristian Saracco.
Bob lives in Austin, Texas and is the founder and CEO of 83 Bar: The Patient Activation Company.
83 Bar helps passive patients become active healthcare consumers.
Cristian lives in Madrid, Spain and is a founding partner of Allegro 234, a global branding and innovation company with offices in Spain, Argentina, and Chile.
Allegro 234 helps companies develop their brand and share their story so they can attract more customers.
In this episode, you’ll discover:
- How to grow your business through the power of branding
- The value of personalizing your product or service when making business decisions
- The reason why the employees you start your business with often times are not the same employees you’ll need to scale your business later on
- How to successfully sell your ideas to clients
- Why Bob feels that “Speed reduces risk at every single level”
Here is the process Cristian and his team uses to come up with new ideas:
First, establish a certain goal or objective.
Then, use the A, B, C, D, E method for arriving at a solution.
- A – Anticipation – look for trends to understand what’s going on
- B – Blend ideas and adopt a child-like perspective
- C – Create different concepts
- D – Design the new brand idea
- E – Execute on your idea
Bob’s process for coming up with new ideas.
On a sheet of paper, draw a 3×3 grid. Above the grid, in the upper left hand corner, write the problem you’re trying to solve. In the boxes on the left, write what you think might work. In the boxes in the middle, write why it would work. In the boxes on the right, write why it wouldn’t work.
