Those of you who listen to the podcast regularly know that I spend a lot of time talking about, and sharing, techniques and practices that help us transcend the thinking mind and allow us to touch the field of pure awareness, or pure consciousness. This is really important.
While our mind is an amazing tool, it’s still just that — a tool. We need to remember this. If we don’t take control of our mind, it will drag us all over the place as it goes about grasping onto anything and everything it see’s. This is just the nature of our mind. Keeping it in check is so important to our overall health and well-being, not to mention our success in business and in life.
One of the best practices I’ve discovered for doing this is Transcendental Meditation. I’ve talked about the profound benefits of TM before on the show and on the blog.
One of the fringe benefits of practicing TM is that I get to meet some amazing people at events and get-togethers. I recently participated in a national group meditation, where I met more practitioners who live in and around the Boise area.
At the event, we introduced ourselves to the group and many shared their personal story about how they came to TM, and the benefits they receive from practicing on a regular basis.
One woman in the group said something that really resonated with me, and I was moved to go up to her after the event and talk to her about what she had said.
She said that learning TM, and attending Maharishi University of Management, was “the best education she’s ever had.”
You can imagine my eagerness to talk to her after the event.
The primary reason I do what I do, and the reason I started the podcast, was to share knowledge, that when applied, can truly enhance your experience. I’m really passionate about this, and I enjoy having the opportunity to meet and learn from other people.
This is also why I create the products and courses I do. I enjoy taking all the information I’ve discovered about personal and spiritual development and distilling it down to create simple, effective tools you can use to realize more success and happiness in life, quickly and easily. Without all the fluff and filler.
We talked briefly, and I invited her to be a guest on the show to share her insights, her experience, and her story.
The interview will be published on the podcast this Monday 11/20/17, so you’ll definitely want to check it out. It’s really good! *Update – You can listen to the interview here.
