Before I recorded the very first episode of this podcast, I was very close to calling it…
Man vs. Mind: In the game of life, winning begins within
The theme would have been the battle we all face each and every day to take control of our mind and focus our thoughts on what’s working out for us, and not what what isn’t.
To think about the things we want to have happen, not the things we don’t want to have happen.
To focus on feeling good, despite any and all reasons we have to feel otherwise.
I had the whole concept flushed out, including epic graphics and a whole blockbuster-like feel to everything.
After all, if I was going to produce something with a name like that it had better deliver in the showmanship, right?
In the end I decided to go with Enhancing the Human Experience, and I’m glad I did.
I just couldn’t get past the whole inner confrontation thing that Man vs. Mind conjured up.
Even though, that’s exactly what’s happening inside each of us every day, as we wrestle with our own mind to focus on the good things that are happening all around us and not the seemingly bad things.
In my opinion, this is the ultimate battle we’re all engaged in.
Winning the battle is about enjoying your life and realizing all of the good things you want.
Someday I may create a product of some kind based on the Man vs. Mind theme, but for now it sits.
In this episode however, I’m digging into some of the content I would have offered on Man vs. Mind, and sharing it with you.
Truth be told, the content is really the same as I have been delivering (and will continue to deliver) on this podcast.
Because at the end of the day, there’s really only one thing we’re doing here as human beings, and that is waking up to our divinity, and our power to create the experiences we want to have in life by deliberately choosing our thoughts and feelings.
In this episode I share the central idea that Man vs. Mind would have been built around and talk about the villain within each of us that we must defeat every day to realize our goals and dreams in life.
The villain within is none other than our own conditioned consciousness.
It goes without saying (because you already know this, I’m sure), that the only person capable of holding us back, or pulling us forward is ourselves.
Saints, sages, and mystics have been telling us for centuries that we have the power to be, do, and have what we want in life.
“All power is within you!” ~ Paramahansa Yogananda
The challenge is getting out of our own way and allowing what we want to come to us.
It’s a game of accepting it rather than trying to make it happen.
When we think of all the things that could go wrong if we go for what we want in life, we imprison ourselves.
When we think of all the things that could go right, we set ourselves free.
This is the secret of getting to where we want to be.
What we think about we bring about, and what we focus on expands.
It’s our point of focus at any given moment in time that is creating the experiences we will have in the near and distant future.
“Where focus goes, energy flows.” ~ Tony Robbins
So here’s to you and being victorious in the game of life!
I hope you win everything you’ve ever wanted and realize the very best experiences in every area of your life.
